ACSD: Elementary Volunteer Tutors Needed

Ames CSD is seeking individuals willing to serve as volunteers to tutor reading or mathematics to elementary students. Volunteers will be trained by certified staff and work under supervision. Tutoring would be one hour per week on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm starting March 1 through May 15, 2022.

Ames CSD is seeking individuals willing to serve as volunteers to tutor reading or mathematics to elementary students. Volunteers will be trained by certified staff and work under supervision. Tutoring would be one hour per week on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm starting March 1 through May 15, 2022. As you know, we live in an unprecedented time that affects our lives and educational opportunities for our children. Although the Ames Community School District has been fortunate to continue quality core education during not only a global pandemic, but also through teacher shortages, we would like to extend additional academic opportunities for our elementary students. We have been creative in maintaining educational quality during challenging times, and now we need your help. The Ames CSD promotes a racially, ethnically, linguistically, and culturally diverse educational environment to broaden students’ academic experience and enrich our District.
