Ames Chamber and associated offices moves down on Main Street.

The Ames Chamber of Commerce plans to move downtown by the end of the year.

The Chamber made the announcement in an email sent to members on Wednesday.

The announcement stated that they plan to move to 304 Main Street. The office is currently located at Aspen business park on South 16th Street.

The Ames Chamber, Ames Economic Development Commission (AEDC), Ames Seed Capital, Main Street Cultural District (MSCD) and Young Professionals of Ames (YPA) offices are all included in the move.

"We’re all about smart choices and making this move is aSmart Choice for our members and the Ames community.  By being more centralized in the heart of the business district of Ames, we’ll be more accessible and better able to interact with our members and the community," the announcement reads.

The building at 304 Main Street was formerly occupied by Innova Ideas & Services. The Chamber plans on using office space on the second floor.

The first floor will be used as conference space, according to the article in the Ames Tribune.
