Ames High Homecoming 2012 Parade Tonight

Ames High School's Homecoming parade begins at 6:30 p.m. downtown main street.

 will celebrate its homecoming starting today. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. on downtown main street.

An entire week of activities will take place at the school this week including an assembly today.

Monday, Sept. 10: 8 a.m.: Kick-off assembly at Ames High Gym.

6:30 p.m. Homecoming Parade Parade: Entries will stage in Parking Lots MM and M and on Pearle and 5th streets. The parade will start on 5th Street and proceed east to Clark Avenue, south on Clark to Main, east on Main to Douglas Avenue, north on Douglas to 5th, and west on 5th back to City Hall. Streets will be closed at Pearle Avenue, Main Street, Fifth Street, and portions of Douglas Avenue and Clark Avenue from 5:30 to approximately 7:30 p.m. City Parking Lot MM and the south half of Lot M at 5:30 p.m. will be closed for parade staging.

Tuesday, Sept. 11: Friends dress as twins Luau/Grill out behind Ames High by the football field at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 12 : Students wear tropical garb to school8 a.m. pancake breakfast.

Thursday, Sept. 13:  Students ear Homecoming theme shirt to school  7 p.m “Lilo and Stitch” movie at City Bandshell.

Friday, Sept. 14: Coronation at Ames High Gym before first period. Students wear game day shirt to school. 7 p.m. Homecoming Game vs. Marshalltown.


Saturday, Sept 15: 8 p.m. -12 a.m. Homecoming Dance at Ames High
