Ames Public Library is organizing a day of service to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The public is encouraged to participate by donating materials or volunteering time.

Through January 16, bring donations of new/unused containers of the following items to the drop box in the Library. Travel size or full size are welcome!Â
 • tooth brushes
 • toothpaste
 • body wash
 • shampoo/conditioner
 • menstrual products

On January 17, the public is invited to the Library from 10am-12pm to help us pack donated supplies into kits to be distributed by The Bridge Home to those in need. Families are welcome!

Ames Public Library is also partnering up with local organizations for the annual Ames/Story County Community MLK Day Celebration, will be held at the Ames Middle School and online (via Facebook Live and YouTube). Find out more at https://bit.ly/AmesMLKDay.
