2nd Annual Pizza Palooza Rocks AMS!

Family Fun Night Features Music, Games & Chow 

AMES, Iowa – The Ames Middle School Booster Club for Academics, Arts, and Athletics invites the community to attend the second annual Ames Middle School Pizza Palooza fund-raising event on Friday, Nov. 9, at Ames Middle School, 3915 Mortensen Road.  This exciting evening of food and fun will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Families are encouraged to attend with their students and enjoy live music, fun competitions, and a variety of entertainment options. “We are planning Pizza Palooza with families in mind to create fun for all ages. Not only will this event be super-fun for middle schoolers, we invite all fifth graders to come out and experience their future school,” said Amy Mikovec, Ames Middle School PTO president. Admission is $1 per person. The menu includes: cheese and meat pizza, cookies, and beverages; all are available for purchase. AMS Pizza Palooza includes a silent auction with packages and gift baskets donated from sixth, seventh and eighth grade classrooms.  Entertainment will feature students from Ames Middle and High Schools, and the Ames High School Drum Line and Spirit Squads will be the headline acts. Other activities include a long-standing favorite - a ‘students vs. teachers’ basketball game, a broomball competition, and a “Battle of the Garage Bands” in the AMS auditorium. Professionals from ‘The Salon’ will be on hand staffing the popular ‘Crazy Hair’ station. Participants can enjoy fun and crazy hair for $1.
