Are You Ready For Winter? Wait Until Tonight
National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for the overnight tonight.

If you woke up this morning feeling like you were one step closer to winter, just wait for tonight.
This morning temperatures will hover in the low to middle 50s with cloudy skies and a 30 percent chance of rain today. But, the temperatures are expected to drop later, possibly below freezing.
"A strong cold front will propel south across the state today and is forecast to bring unseasonably cold temperatures to the area by tonight," a frost advisory from the National Weather Service stated.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for the upper Midwest and includes Ames. Further north in Iowa and parts of South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Minnesota, there is a freeze advisory.Â
The frost advisory begins at 1 a.m. Thursday and runs until 8 a.m.Â

Temperatures are supposed to drop to the middle 30s by around midnight and continue in the low to mid 30s through morning.Â
So, you might want to cover your garden and bring delicate plants inside tonight.Â
