Bachmann to Attend Iowa's Football Festivities

GOP hopeful Michele Bachmann will be in Ames mingling with Iowa-Iowa State fans on Saturday.

With Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann falling in the polls, the GOP presidential hopeful will return to where she achieved her greatest success this campaign season -- Ames -- for a tailgate at Iowa's biggest sporting event of the year.

A month ago, Bachmann emerged victorious as the winner of the . On Saturday, she will be mingling with fans in between their beers and bratwurst during festivities before the Iowa-Iowa State football game. The event is expected to draw upward of 75,000 fans. 

According to a news release from her campaign, Bachmann will join Iowa state Sen. Jack Whitver before the 11 a.m. game. She will "mix-and-mingle with voters," and participate in tailgate activities at the East Stadium Gate at Jack Trice Stadium.
