Big Brothers Big Sisters Center Closing in Ames

A Story County branch of matched 130 children with mentors but is closing its Ames office after just three years, KCCI reports.

Matches will continue to be served through the Des Moines office, but some wonder what will happen to the program without a local office.

Matt Ashburn, Chair of the Story County board in Story County, told KCCI:

"We need more contributions. We need more donations, more involvement on a local level," said Ashburn.
