Branstad: King is the Voice of Common Sense

Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad calls Rep. Steve King, R-Kiron, the voice of Iowa Common sense in Washington in a new radio advertisement titled “My Vote”

“Congressman King has been the voice of Iowa common sense in Washington as he fights ObamaCare, speaks out against out-of-control government spending, works to develop and grow renewable energy and encourages predictability and stability for business allowing them to grow,” Branstad stated on the advertisement. “We need more representatives with Iowa values like Congressman King. I’m pleased to be able to cast my ballot for Steve King in Iowa’s 4^th Congressional District.”

King currently faces Christie Vilsack a Democrat from Ames in the race for Iowa's new 4th District. An independent candidate, Martin James Monroe, is also on the ballot.

A new poll from Public Policy Polling shows that 44 percent of voters in the district view King favorably and 47 percent would vote for King and another 47 percent would vote for someone else.

The Branstad advertisement will air across Iowa’s 4^th Congressional District.
