ISU's Bubu Palo Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Abuse Charge
Palo and another Ames man, Spencer Cruise, were charged with sex abuse for allegedly assaulting a woman after offering her a ride home in May.

The Associated Press reported that former Iowa State University Basketball Player Bubu Palo, 21, has pleaded not guilty to a sex abuse charge.
Palo's attorney entered the plea Tuesday according to Story County Court records available online.
Palo faces a charge of second-degree sex abuse, a Class B felony, punishable by up to 25 years in prison.

Palo and another Ames man, Spencer Cruise, turned themselves in to authorities Sept. 7.
According to complaints, Cruise and Palo offered a woman home on May 18 and took her to an Oakland Drive home, owned by Cruise's family, where they sexually assaulted her. Cruise also faces a second-degree sex abuse charge.
