After dumping two in-state rivals, ISU fans can look ahead to UConn and beyond.
The football season really can't look much brighter right now for Iowa State fans (even if it is overcast outside).
In consecutive weeks, they trounced all over their two biggest in-state rivals, including a 44-41 triple-overtime thriller against Iowa. And junior college transfer and new quarterback Steele Jantz is starting to make a name for himself.

Tonight the Cyclones (2-0) will face the Connecticut Huskies (1-1) at Rentshler Field in East Hartford, CT in a special Friday night game. Kickoff is at 7:05 p.m. central time and will be televised by ESPN.
Huskie fans will try to electrify the atmosphere for the Cyclones with a "blue out."
