TASTE Of Education Supports Ames Community Schools Sunday
Sunday's Taste of Education will raise funds for high school technology including surveillance cameras at Ames High and Middle schools.

TASTE of Education an evening of dinner and fun will help raise funds for technology updates throughout the Ames High School and beyond.
The annual fundraiser hosted by the Ames Education Foundation will be held 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Gateway Hotel.
The dinner includes a silent auction, live auction entertainment and games. Tickets are $50 and available online or at Chocolaterie Stam or by calling (515) 268-6630.

The event is a fundraiser for the Ames Community Schools organized by the Ames Education Foundation. Funds will go toward classroom technology upgrades and surveillance equipment for the Ames Middle School and Ames High School and leveled readers.
Ann Arbuckle the foundation's director said the majority of the proceeds will go toward technology upgrades at the High School. They hope to raise enough funds to purchase a mounted projector, Apple TV and iPads for all teachers.Â

The update would cost about $1,100 per classroom. They hope to install the systems in 55 rooms.
