This Week's Local Forecast

The National Weather Service expects a cold and blustery week in central Iowa.

The week’s forecast for the Ames area looks like this:

• Monday - mostly cloudy with a high in the mid 20s and a low under 10. Overnight wind chill near -10.
• Tuesday - high in the teens with a wind chill around -15. Overnight low around zero, wind chill nearing -20.

• Wednesday - mostly sunny and breezy with a high in single digits and a low below zero.
• Thursday - high around 10 and a low around zero.
• Friday - High in the upper 20s, low in the upper teens.
