Iowans will undoubtedly be thinking hopefully about warmer temperatures in March. This week isn’t expected to be a glimpse of spring, but at least temperatures should stay in double figures most the week.
According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for the Ames area looks like this:
- Monday - Partly sunny with a high in the low 30s. Overnight low in mid 20s with a 70-percent chance of rain/snow after midnight. 1 to 2 inches of precipitation expected.
- Tuesday - High in the mid 30s as temperatures drop through the day with high winds. Snow/rain mix likely throughout the day but not expected to accumulate more than an inch at this time. Low of in the single digits.
- Wednesday - Sunny and breezy with a high in the teens and a low around zero.
- Thursday - Sunny with a high in the mid 20s and a low in the teens.
- Friday - Higher temperatures, near 40, expected.
