What's Happening in Ames This Weekend?

The will be played in Iowa City this year but in Ames festivities include gathering round the big screens in several Ames establishments as well as a campaign stop Saturday. will watch the game at the home of Steven Seefeld who lives at 2914 Oakland Street and engage youth voters while campaigning for Obama.

Pufferbilly Days

Neighboring Boone will celebrate Pufferbilly Days through the weekend. Festivities begin 5 p.m. tonight, Thursday. The parade takes place 9:30 a.m. Saturday. A pet show is at 11 a.m. Sunday. Live music, craft fairs and a train demonstration are all part of the celebration.

Erick Hovey performs the Blues from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at . The cover charge is $3 and comes with a glass of sangria. The winery will be open from noon to 6 p.m.

Tribal Seeds W/Ballyhoo at the M Shop

Tribal Seeds, a reggae band from San Diego will perform at the Maintenance Shop in the Memorial Union Friday. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12 for students and $15 for everyone else. Tickets increase by $2 on the day of the show.

Steam Engine Stop

Union Pacific's legendary steam locomotive will be parked near the Ames High School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. View the train at 20th St & Ridgewood Avenue.
