Parks Winterization In Ankeny Will Be Completed This Month
Hawkeye and Miracle parks and the Ankeny Dog Park will be the last to lose restrooms and water for the season as winterization continues.
ANKENY, IA — Maintenance crews in Ankeny began winterizing the city's parks and facilities this week and will continue through the month as weather permits. The process includes the removal of all portable restrooms located in park spaces and shutting off water for public restrooms, shelters, drinking fountains and splash pads.
Miracle Park, Hawkeye Park and the Ankeny Dog Park will be the last three park locations winterized. Parks maintenance is tentatively planning to complete work the week of Oct. 23, but no later than Oct. 31.
