Anthony Robert Weber, 19, Ankeny Boulevard, was charged with false imprisonment and assault causing serious injury on July 3 for allegedly keeping his girlfriend locked in a room, police said.
Weber wouldn't allow his girlfriend to leave until police officer intervened, police said.

The domestic abuse charge is an aggravated misdemeanor and the imprisonment charge is a serious misdemeanor. Weber was being held Wednesday on a $3,000 bond in the Polk County Jail.
