Breast Cancer Awareness Ride Raises Funds, Awareness

The Breast Cancer Awareness Bicycle Ride is on October 12. 

This is a family-friendly event with many fun festivities (Jazzercise demo, Live KOKZ remote, meet KWWL's Amanda Goodman, free mini chair massages from Health Wise Foundation) and prizes before the ride starts at 10 a.m. 

A prize will be awarded for the best "pink" costume. 

There is a 12 mile trail or 26 mile road ride option.  The ride begins and ends at Europa Cycle, 4302 University Ave. 

It's a "sweet event" with post ride refreshments by Panera Bread, Scratch Cupcakery, Cookie Craze, Qdoba Mexican Grill and Ramada Inn. 

All proceeds go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
