Cedar Falls Cyclist Hospitalized After Car-Bike Collision in Waterloo
The accident happened Sunday night.

A car-bike collision in Waterloo sent a Cedar Falls man to the hospital Sunday night.
John Godbey, 48, of 2308 Center St., was biking in the 1800 block of West Airline Highway when a Buick driven by Darrell Cox, 70, of Fairbank, collided with him around 8:30 p.m., an accident report said.
The car's windshield was destroyed in the accident, and paramedics took Godbey to Allen Hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Both the car and bicycle were heading east on Airline Highway. According to the accident report, the bike didn't have a back light and wasn't visible at the time of the accident.
