Police Accuse Cedar Falls Man of Firing Pistol Into Air: Cedar Falls Police Blotter

Police arrested a man they said had, on more than one occasion, fired a pistol into the air outside his Cedar Falls home.
Eddie D Rogers, 47, of 2216-15 Lincoln St., was arrested April 5 at 8:45 a.m. at the and charged with reckless use of a firearm and possession of weapons by a felon.
Police said they had been getting several gun calls to the area recently. Rogers had allegedly been going outside his home and discharging his gun, including after a recent nightime fight with his girlfriend.

Police said Rogers had previously been convicted for a felony.

April 5:
Amber Jane Uhlenhopp, 29, female, of Aplington, arrested at 7:30 a.m. at the Cedar Falls Police Station, charged with two counts of prohibited acts.
Justin Cody Thomas, 21, male, of Elk Run, arrested at 7 p.m. at the Cedar Falls Police Station, charged with assault without intent to injury.
April 6:
Valerie Monique Vivian, 21, female, of 2216-4 Merner Ave., arrested at 11:47 p.m. at Midway Drive and University Avenue, charged with driving while license revoked.
April 7:
Jeremy Joseph Swarbrick, 23, male, of 2310 College St., arrested at 1:49 a.m. at 401 Main St., charged with possession of prescription drug, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and consumption in public/intoxication.
Blaize Elric Cabell, 18, male, of Independence, arrested at 2:12 a.m. at 2019 College St., charged with consumption in public/intoxication and fifth degree theft.
