Police: Man Rams Cars in Dealership Lot, Tries to Flee: Cedar Falls Police Blotter

arrested a man who was allegedly caught in the act of ramming cars in a Cedar Falls car dealership's parking lot.

Police said an officer was on patrol and heard a crashing sound. He discovered a vehicle ramming other vehicles in the parking lot of the Community Motors dealership. The driver tried to flee, but his car had extensive damage and did not exit the dealership lot.

Martin Leo Halbmaier, 44, of Waterloo, was arrested at 10:35 p.m. March 31 at 4521 University Ave. and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, operating while intoxicated/drugged second and driving with license suspended/simple misdemeanor.

Police said six cars were damaged in the incident, one extensively. Community Motors was notified of the incident, and provided information about the damaged vehicle and suspect.

Tuesday Ann Mahurin, 33, female, of Winfield, Kan., arrested at 8:53 p.m. at 4117-1030 University Ave., charged with outside warrant/wanted.

Chaz Dean Krueger, 21, male, of 624 State St., arrested at 11:20 p.m. at 19th Street and Olive Street, charged with driving with license revoked.

March 28:

Shara Deann Harrington, 25, female, of Waterloo, arrested at 9:31 p.m. at 525 Brandilynn Blvd., charged with third degree theft.

Ray Anthony Graves, 46, male, of Waterloo, arrested at 9:45 p.m. at 214 Viking Plaza Drive, charged with fifth degree theft.

Tiana Ane Berinobis, 20, female, of Waterloo, arrested at 11:36 p.m. at the Cedar Falls Police Station, charged with assault without intent to injury.

March 30:

Travis Marshall Barr, 25, male, of 1417 W. Second St., arrested at 10:30 a.m. at the Black Hawk County Jail, charged with second degree theft.

Jacob Chilton Harness, 26, male, of 4410-255 University Ave., arrested at the same location, charged with outside warrant/wanted.

Connie Arlene Bigelow, 64, female, of 1716 W. 18th St., arrested at 8:31 p.m. at 6301 University Ave., charged with fifth degree theft.

March 31:

Abbie Anne Huff, 20, female, of Waterloo, arrested at 2:33 a.m. at the 1800 block of Tremont Street, charged with possession of marijuana and driving with license suspended/simple misdemeanor.
