Man Who Allegedly Stole Liquor and Ran From Hy-Vee Couldn't Outrun Cop: Cedar Falls Police Blotter

Cedar Falls Police arrested two people who allegedly acted together to steal liquor from Hy-Vee, 6301 University Ave.
Police said Miquinn Djaun Stokes, 19, of Waterloo, concealed four bottles of liquor, worth $138.19, in a purse and left the store on April 16. An officer allegedly spotted him running eastbound from the store. Police said the officer left his vehicle and was able to catch Stokes.
Stokes was arrested at 4:29 p.m. and charged with third-degree theft. Police also arrested Tyesha Nicole Jones, 27, of Waterloo, who was allegedly acting as Stokes' lookout. She was arrested at 5:57 p.m. and charged with third degree theft.

Kyle Kemper Creger, 18, of 915 Barnett Drive, was arrested at 7:42 p.m. at Logan Street and Main Street and charged with possession of marijuana.
April 20:
Brett Alexander Elin, 25, of Waterloo, was arrested at 5:26 p.m. at Old Chicago and charged with probation violation.
April 21:
Cody Bennett Engen-Johnson, 18, of 318 Heritage Road, was arrested at 1:13 a.m. at 2515 Main St. and charged with possession of marijuana.
April 22:
Timothy Alan Shumaker, 22, of Waterloo, was arrested at 2:41 a.m. at University Avenue and Main Street and charged with outside warrant/wanted.
Zainab Saad Anant, 26, of Waterloo, was arrested at 4:27 a.m. at the Cedar Falls Police Station and charged with forgery.
April 23:
Chanel Caprice Anderson, 22, of Waterloo, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of West First Street on a charge of driving while suspended/revoked.
April 24:
Derrick James Morehead, 24, of Waterloo, was arrested at 7:36 p.m. at 2322 Main St. and charged with driving with license suspended/simple misdemeanor.
