Cedar Falls Senior One of Iowa's Two Presidential Scholars
The Cedar Falls High School student will be honored in a June ceremony.

A student was one of only two seniors in the state to be named of U.S. Presidential Scholar.
Jesse Streicher was one of 141 students to recieve the honor this year, along with Eagi Ustundag of Ames.
Scholars are chosen based on their academic success, artistic excellence, essays, school evaluations and transcripts, as well as evidence of community service, leadership, and demonstrated commitment to high ideals.

The students will be honored in a June ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Streicher said his most influential teacher is Diane Flaherty, an English teacher at Cedar Falls High School.
