Winter Walk:

The cold is no excuse to stay inside. Get out and go for a walk, and learn something about nature at the same time, with phenology walk. Phenology is the study of changes in nature from season-to-season, and you and your family can join a naturalist on a short hike as you learn what changes are happening in the forest as fall changes to winter. After the hike, enjoy hot chocolate and snacks by the fire. Walk is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., $5 per family.
School's Out:
Cedar Falls schools are on break starting today. The kids will be home from now until Jan. 2. Stick with Patch for activities to keep your family busy over the holiday break.
