Convicted Felon on the Loose in Eastern Iowa and More Cedar Falls Daily News Links

Eastern Iowa authorities are searching for a convicted felon, Randy D. Funk, 55, who failed to surrender himself to Buchannan County authorities after being convicted of three counts of distribution of a controlled substance to a minor and sentenced to three 25-year prison terms on January 15. A traffic camera ban, which last year was a favored but ultimately failed legislative goal of Cedar Falls State Rep. Walt Rogers, has been reintroduced in the state legislature this term by Urbandale State Sen. Brad Zaun. Read more on Urbandale Patch.

The Iowa DOT will begin issuing drivers licenses to young illegal immigrants who have been granted a reprieve from deportation under an executive order signed by President Obama.
