UNI is offering a host of summer camp opportunities for area kids.


With only a few weeks of the school year left, summer activities are fast approaching.

The is offering a variety of summer camps for students in grades K through 12.

CSI: Cedar Falls - Crimefighting with Biotechnology: A one week workshop for high school students that allows for hands-on experience with the tools of biotechnology.

2012 MiniSumo Robotics Camp

Creative and Imaginative Thinking: Early Learning Experiences: Emphasis will be on early literacy experiences that will allow students to creatively write, "publish" their own books/creations and use all of those innovative thoughts to learn.

Students on the Move- Maximizing Learning by Moving! Students will participate in a variety of creative movement activities that are integrated with learning experiences. Activities will allow children to learn reading/literacy, math, science, social studies and more while participating in movement experiences.

Shining Stars: Girls Looking Ahead Camp: This camp is open to girls from Waterloo and Cedar Falls areas who are looking for an opportunity to widen their horizons through a variety of experiences. Girls will learn the art of dance, theater, music, languages, poetry and how to write their own personal stories. Motivational speakers will also visit during the week to encourage the girls to look ahead to a bright future of success.
