The Cedar Valley Arboretum invites people to visit the 35 acres of gardens and green space to experience the beauty of the natural world, the joy of gardening, knowledge of plants and the diversity of our world.

The Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens at Hawkeye Community College invites the Cedar Valley to “An Evening at the Arboretum”. This is a fundraiser for educational programming and operations at the Arboretum.
Guests will enjoy a fabulous evening of delicious food, live music, and live & silent auctions, and the opportunity to view the scarecrows and gardens the day before the annual Fall Harvest Fest. The Evening at the Arboretum emphasizes casual dress, with a country flair for those who wish to get out their cowboy boots.

An Evening at the Arboretum will be Saturday, September 14th, from 4:30pm-8:30pm, rain or shine, and features live music from “The Wicked Anderson” with their unique blend of 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s rock and roll music. Auction items include local artists Larry Skeries ceramics, metal sculptor Deb Ewolt, Green Earth glass by Janna Bowman and paintings by Bryan Sink & The Thursday Painters.

Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased by calling the Arboretum at 319-226-4966. Please RSVP by September 6th.

The Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens at Hawkeye Community College was founded in 1995 and is located on Orange Road in Waterloo, Iowa. The Arboretum seeks to enrich the quality life for all people through horticulture.
The Cedar Valley Arboretum invites people to visit the 35 acres of gardens and green space to experience the beauty of the natural world, the joy of gardening, knowledge of plants and the diversity of our world. Designed with natural landscapes, the grounds include specialty gardens, trails, the annual Fall Harvest Fest celebration, Children’s Interactive Garden, and special exhibits.
The Arboretum welcomes over 15,000 people from Iowa and around the world annually and serves more than 150 members. The Arboretum is open daily from sunrise to sunset and admission is free.
