Full Week of Action Planned in Protest of Proposed Price Lab, UNI Academic Cuts

A full week of action has been planned by opponents of the budget cuts, including the proposed closure of and the elimination of nearly 60 academic programs. Here's a list of what's coming up next week:

Tuesday, March 20, 9 a.m., Cedar Falls Public Library:

Cedar Valley Business Owners & Stakeholders - A Real Look at UNI, Business & the Future, sponsored by Unify for Education

Thursday, March 22, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Maucker Union:

Save UNI! Rally for Academics & Education, sponsored by Keep Price Lab Open

A Funeral for Academics: In Memoriam of Cut Programs & Price Lab Schools, sponsored by Students United for Academics

It will begin with a processional, involve a short program, and end with opportunities for everyone to speak about their recent losses... We all feel these pains, and this will be an opportunity for everyone express their emotions publicly and civilly.

We recommend all participants wear mourning attire. If you would like to volunteer to eulogize a program, please e-mail SUA at save.academics.uni@gmail.com
