Gravy's Takes the (Pan)Cake As Your Choice For Best Cedar Falls Breakfast

It was another close race, but in the end pulled through with for the title of Cedar Falls Patch Readers' Choice 2012: The Best Place for Breakfast.

So congratulations to Gravy's - may their hash browns ever be crispy, may their eggs ever be delicious. Cedar Falls readers certainly seem to already view them that way.

That doesn't mean other places aren't dearly loved. J’s Homestyle Cooking was a close second in our poll, and a few of you left comments in its favor.

The best place for breakfast in CF is a well-kept secret. The Maid-Rite. Stop laughing and hear me out. While eating your fantastic pancakes, or French Toast, or anything else, you are watching them hand-grate potatoes for hashbrowns, or hand-preparing any of their other wonderful dishes. The quality of their food is fantastic, and their prices are low. The waitresses are kind and friendly, as are the other patrons. This is the type of place that some people in big cities try to emulate, and NEVER are able to get right.
