Hazardous Weather Outlook: Wind Advisory Continues Monday in Cedar Falls

The National Weather Service reported a hazardous weather forecast and wind advisory continue in Black Hawk County Monday.

The advisory said gusty northwest winds persist this morning, with the advisory in effect until 1 p.m.

But hazardous weather outlooks can't last forever. So, here is this week's forecast, as provided by the National Weather Service.

Today: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 55. Windy, with a west northwest wind between 21 and 31 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. West northwest wind between 10 and 13 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming south between 6 and 9 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. South wind between 10 and 13 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. West southwest wind between 13 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 45.

Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
