Nurse's Office Assistant Charged With Stealing from Cedar Falls High School

The following information was provided by the police. It does not indicate a confession.

A Cedar Falls Community School District employee allegedly stole money raised at school-sponsored events from a vault at Cedar Falls High School.

Police arrested Shannon Marie Frost, 35, of 1610 Lilac Lane on Dec. 3 at 7:30 a.m. and charged her with fourth-degree theft.

Officers placed a security camera inside the vault after three thefts were reported on Sept. 24, Sept. 29 and Oct. 16. Police said security footage allegedly showed Frost taking money from a cash drawer and concealing it in her pocket on Nov. 27. Police said she admitted to taking $20 in that incident.

Police said the total amount of stolen money from the four incidents is $240.

Frost is listed as health assistant in the high school nurse's office on the school's website.
