'It's Personal': Breast Cancer Ride Raises Awareness, Funds in Cedar Falls
Europa Ski and Cycle sponsored a bike ride to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

Over 100 people turned out despite rainy weather to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer Oct. 13.
The Trek Breast Cancer Awareness Ride, hosted by Europa Cycle & Ski, brought in over $2600 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
"It's such a good cause, and it seems all of us have friends and family who have been effected by breast cancer," organizer Cindy Dodd said. "They don't give up, and we don't want the Cedar Valley to give up on helping to fight it."

Europa owner Russ Clarke said he has lost friends to breast cancer over the years, including one person very recently. For him, the fight against the disease is personal.
"She was four days away from her 42nd birthday," he said. "She left a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old and a grieving husband. I just want it to go away."
