Janesville Man Airlifted to Iowa City Hospital After Cedar Falls Motorcycle Accident

A Janesville man was airlifted to Iowa City Hospital and Clinics after he was thrown from a motorcycle in Cedar Falls.

Cedar Falls Police said they found Jeremiah Jon Carl Sherwood, 36, lying on the side of the road after responding to the accident near Big Woods and Lone Tree Roads at around 10:50 p.m. Thursday.

Sherwood was transported to Allen Hospital before being transferred to Iowa City. His condition has not been released.

Police said preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was westbound on Lone Tree Road when Sherwood lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle. Authorities said Sherwood was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
