This is the third time The Mix has won the award.

It's always nice to get a little recognition for hard work, says Jim Coloff, of .
Coloff is the station manager and owner of the Cedar Falls radio station. Last Tuesday, The Mix was awarded the 2012 Crystal Award from the National Association of Broadcasters.

"I am so proud to work in local radio and be able to support so many worthy causes in the Cedar Valley," Lynn told KWWL.Â
One example of KCVM's work is its commitment to the Magical Mix Kids. Coloff said the station supports the charity, which sends chronically ill children and their families to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
