Police: Cedar Falls Man Flees Drug Charges, Adds 8 Driving Charges to Rap Sheet

Police said Cedar Falls and Waterloo police officers were speaking with a Cedar Falls man about possible warrants for his arrest when the man allegedly sped off in his car, leaving the cops behind.
Officers said they followed the man, who allegedly committed several traffic violations as he led them on a chase before stopping at the corner of Barnett and Crescent Drives in Cedar Falls. Arthur Eugene Amsbary, 37, of 909 Olive St., was arrested at 11:54 a.m. Nov. 22.
Cedar Falls police charged Amsbary with failure to yield turning left, unsafe turning or failure to signal, failing to obey a red light, failure to obey stop signs, reckless driving, careless driving, unsafe passing and eluding police.

Waterloo police also charged him regarding the warrants they were speaking with him about when he allegedly fled. He was charged with possession with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamines, intent to deliver methamphetamines and marijuana and a drug stamp violation.
