Man Escapes Cedar Falls House Fire Unharmed

A fire started at a Cedar Falls home Wednesday night.

A man escaped unharmed after smelling smoke when his Cedar Falls home caught fire Wednesday night.

Cedar Falls Fire Rescue crews fought the blaze at 2615 Center Street around 8:20 p.m. Jan. 16, the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported.

The Courier reported flames were showing from a rear window, and Fire Rescue Chief John Schilling said firefighters doused the outside of the home for safety.
