Motorcycle Chase Ends In Cedar Falls Ditch

Cedar Falls police say a man attempted to flee on his motorcycle Sunday.
At approximately 11:15 a.m. on April 1, Cedar Falls police patrol officers attempted to stop a motorcyclist on Hudson Road near Greenhill Road for a moving violation, police said.
The driver allegedly failed to stop and accelerated. He was pursued until crashing in the area of Viking Road and Production Way, police said. Police said the man, Kyle McNeil, of Dike, lost control of his motorcycle on a curve, sending himself into a ditch. He was not injured and was arrested at the scene.

McNeil, 22, of Dike, was charged with felony eluding for attempting to elude a patrol vehicle that had its lights and sirens activated and going over 25 miles per hour above the speed limit.
Felony eluding is a Class D felony. McNeil was also cited for several moving violations.
