No Alcohol at Cedar Falls Walmart for 1 Month
Cedar Falls Walmart Supercenter has been banned from selling alcohol after second violation in two years.

Walmart shoppers probably enjoy one-stop shopping for many different needs, but if they need to pick up beer, wine or liquor in the next month they will need to make a second stop.
The Cedar Falls Walmart Supercenter has been banned from selling alcohol for one month after a second alcohol violation in two years. Alcohol can't be served, consumed or given away on the property either, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier.
The ban is through Saturday, Feb. 9, KWWL reports citing city officials and the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. They also owe a $1,500 fine.

The ban stems from an incident in July 2012 when an employee sold alcohol to a minor. The Cedar Falls City Council decided that Walmart's alcohol permit would be suspended in September.
Walmart spokeswoman Dianna Gee told KWWL that Walmart took steps to correct the problem. The company re-emphasized their policy and said the cashier involved no longer works for Walmart.

Gee said "selling alcohol to a minor is clearly unacceptable, and we recognize this is a serious matter."
