Parkersburg Man Arrested in Cedar Falls Burglary Cases

Cedar Falls police have made an arrest in a case involving multiple car burglaries and vandalism.Â
Sidney Michael Hansen, 20, of Parkersburg faces four charges, including two for third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal mischief.
According to police, Hansen broke into two cars on May 23. Police say he stole a global positioning system and radar detector valued at a combined $200 as well as vandalizing the first vehicle, and took an XM radio valued at $70 from the second vehicle. On June 13, police say he spray painted a flood gate at the 800 block of Grove Street.

Police processed the arrest at 7:55 a.m. on Friday at the Black Hawk County Jail.
Police declined to comment further but said the cases remain under investigation.
