Peregrine Financial's Wasendorf Turns Down Right to Detention Hearing
Peregrine Financial Group's founder Russell Wasendorf Sr., arrested for allegedly committing 20 years of fraud, waived his right to a detention hearing.

Russell Wasendorf Sr., the CEO and founder of Peregrine Financial Group, also known as PFG or PFGBEST, waived his right to a detention hearing this week.
The hearing would have been today.

Wasendorf's attorney says her client may request a detention hearing at a later date to determine whether he can be released pending trial, and, if so, under what conditions.
Wasendorf attempted suicide outside PFGBEST's Cedar Falls headquarters earlier this month. His suicide note allegedly admitted to 20 years of fraud at the brokerage firm. He was arrested July 13.
