Pets Posing With Santa and Education Reform: Cedar Falls Tuesday Morning Roundup

Education Reform:

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported state officials plans to finance a teacher pay system that would be part of Governor Terry Branstad's education reform package. A draft version of the reform in Cedar Falls when Branstad presented it at a town-hall style meeting in November.

Let's Get Physical:

The Northern Iowan reported UNI will offer physical education as an online master's program starting in spring 2012. Is it at all ironic to sit in front of your computer in order to learn about fitness?

Panters Versus Hawkeyes:

The UNI men's basketball team will square off against the University of Iowa team tonight at 7 p.m. at the McLeod Center. There's nothing like a little college town rivalry to keep the week interesting. Panthers are higher on the food chain than hawks, right?

Santa is Going to the Dogs:

It's Pet Photo Night with Santa at from 6-8 pm. Your dog or kitty friend can sit on Santa's lap and meow or bark Christmas wishes into the man in red's ear. Seriously. Leave your kids at home and just bring Fido. Santa will also pose with pets Dec. 13.
