Photos: Face Paint, Solar-Powered Robots and Art: Cedar Falls Main Street's ARTapalooza

The paint flowed freely at the  stations during Cedar ARTapalooza, the Main Street Cedar Falls event that has become an annual tradition.

Kids crowded around giant canvases, joyfully flinging paint or frowning in concentration as they traced careful patterns. Down the street, dozens waited in line to have their faces painted with butterfly wings and the patterns of calico cats.

With 48 artists displaying their work and live music alongside the Hearst Center's offerings, the  event was a crowd pleaser.
