Five Charged With Trafficking Stolen Weapons in Joint Cedar Falls, Waterloo Police Operation

Six people were arrested and five were charged with trafficking stolen weapons in a joint operation of the Waterloo and Cedar Falls Police Departments.

On Feb. 20, officers with the Waterloo Police Violent Crime Apprehension Team received information about guns that had been stolen from a Cedar Falls residence. The Waterloo team began a joint investigation with .

The investigations lead to the six arrests early Tuesday morning. Police seized eight weapons, including four that had been reported stolen. Police also seized drugs, cash and ammunition.

The following people were arrested:

Taylor James Kruckenberg, 19, of Waterloo, charged with possession of a weapon as a felon, trafficking stolen weapons and carrying weapons.

Michael Thomas Heggebo, 16, of Waterloo, charged with trafficking stolen weapons, possession of a weapon as a felon and theft in the second degree.

Zachariah Richard Smith, 28, of Denver, charged with trafficking stolen weapons, interference, carrying weapons and eluding police.

Joshua Merle Heath, 32, of Waterloo, charged with trafficking stolen weapons, child endangerment, sale of marijuana and drug tax stamp violation.

Latosha Danyal Heath, 29, of Waterloo, charged with sale of marijuana and child endangerment.

Trevor Ray Feauto, 15, of 6426 University Ave., charged with third degree theft and trafficking stolen weapons.
