Update: Body of Man Found In Cedar Falls Car Identified

Cedar Falls Police are investigating after a body was found in a car Thursday morning.

Update:

Police have released the identity of the man who was found dead in a Cedar Falls car Thursday.

The man is Daron Lee Jungers, 42, of 4606 Ashworth Drive No. 2.

The Medical Examiner's Office is performing an autopsy to determine Junger's cause of death, police said.

Cedar Falls Police Chief Jeff Olson said exposure to chemicals found in the car may have been intentional. Cedar Falls Fire Rescue was called in to neutralize a substance in the car during yesterday's investigation.

Cedar Falls Police are investigating a body found in a car outside a condominium complex in Cedar Falls.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported on the investigation:

Police and paramedics were called to the 4600 block of Ashworth Drive at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday after a passerby spotted an unresponsive person in a car at the complex parking lot.

Chief Jeff Olson with the Cedar Falls Police Department said the person was dead, and there were chemicals in the vehicle.

Police told Patch no other information, including the identity of the deceased or cause of death, was being released at this time.
