Cedar Falls Woman Who Allegedly Can't Control Baby Stroller Accused of Taking Her 13-Month-Old to Two Bars

CEDAR FALLS, IA - A Cedar Falls woman was allegedly so drunk in downtown Cedar Falls that were afraid she might push her baby's stroller into the street.
Police arrested Sara Ann Briggs, 30, at 7:57 p.m. June 13 in the 400 block of Main Street. She was charged her with child endangerment, non-serious, which is an aggravated misdemeanor, and with public intoxication.

According to police, Briggs was walking down Main Street's sidewalk pushing a stroller with her 13 month-old daughter inside.
The police report said:

(Briggs) was unable to walk in a straight line and did not appear to be able to safely push the stroller and her child. The defendant (Briggs) was weaving back and forth on the sidewalk.
If the defendant continued to swerve toward the road or fall over with the stroller, she and her child would have been seriously injured.
The report went on to say Briggs smelled strongly of alcohol and was allegedly unable to speak without heavily slurring her words.
She allegedly admitted to taking her daughter with her to two different bars. She could not be reached for comment.
