Police: Man Broke into Cedar Falls Home While Resident Was Sleeping

Cedar Falls Police arrested a man they said broke into a home while someone was sleeping inside.

On Oct. 30, police arrested Kelechi Ubochi, 20, of Cedar Falls. He is charged with second-degree burglary and possession of marijuana. Second-degree burglary is a class C felony, and possession of marijuana is a serious misdemeanor.

Police said a burglary was reported on the 1400 block of West 19th St. on June 5. The incident reportedly occurred while a subject was sleeping inside the residence, police said. DNA collected from the scene was allegedly determined to be Ubochi's.

Police said a search warrant of Ubochi's residence turned up items obtained during the burglary as well as marijuana.

Ubochi did not have a listed phone number.
