Police: Two Arrested After Running Over Cedar Falls Officer's Foot
The following information was provided by the police. It does not represent a conviction.

Two students turned themselves in Friday after one allegedly ran over a Cedar Falls police officer's foot.
Police said the officer was talking with occupants of a parked vehicle about an alleged alcohol violation around 9 p.m. Thursday when the driver drove off and ran over the officer's foot.
The vehicle was discovered and towed about a block from the 20th Street and College Street incident.

The officer was treated at a hospital and recieved an occupational health evaluation Thursday.
Kevin Raymond Decker, 20, of 607 Bender Hall (UNI), was arrested for:

1)Â Â Â Interference with Official Acts causing Bodily Injury, an Aggravated Misdemeanor
2)Â Â Â Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, a serious misdemeanor
Derek Michael Hertges, age 19, of 807 Bender Hall (UNI), was arrested for Interference with Official Acts, a simple misdemeanor. Hertjes was also given citations for:
1)Â Â Â Unlawful Use of Drivers License to Acquire Alcohol
2)Â Â Â Minor in Possession of AlcoholÂ
Each citation is a simple misdemeanor and has a scheduled fine of $330. Decker and Hertges were booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.
