POLL: What Would YOU Do With $50,000 of Margarine?

The theft of $50,000 of margarine is one in a string of recent cargo thefts.


The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported this morning a trailer that held $50,000 of margarine, stolen Dec. 10, was found in Fowlerville, MI. The margarine inside was missing, as was the margarine thief.

Capt. Rick Abben of the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office told the Courier the theft was the latest in a series of similar heists in the area over the last 18 months. Previous thefts have included trailers filled with beef jerky, dog food and dental hygiene products, he said.

The items are likely being sold on the black market or via online retailers. But this Patch editor thinks some items have to be harder to unload than others. So we wondered:
