Reinbeck Man Faces Up to 75 Years Behind Bars After Death of Cedar Falls Woman

Kaley Kennison, 26, of Cedar Falls, was killed in a 2010 car crash.

A Reinbeck man who was found guilty of homicide by vehicle in the 2010 death of a Cedar Falls woman is facing up to 75 years in prison.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported Austin David Hansen, 27, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his involvement in the death of Kaley Kennison, 26.

That time will be added to Hansen's sentences for methamphetamine-related drug crimes. Those charges could garner him as much as 50 years when his parole is revoked.

Hansen was on parole for the drug charges when authorities said he gave Kennison a ride home after a night of drinking in 2010. He crashed into a retaining wall, killing Kennison.
