Sewer Leak Closes Portion of Cedar Falls Bike Trail

A leaking sanitary sewer line has led to the closure of part of the Cedar Falls bike trail this week.

The bike trail on Ridgeway Avenue between Highway 58 and Ace Place is closed. Trail users should avoid the area throughout the week.

After the line is repaired, there will be a rough temporary patch on the trail, and trail users should be cautious.

Some of the wastewater entered the city storm sewer system and may have reached a drainage way near an Ace Place recreational vehicle business.
